NRA Range Safety Officer Course

NRA Range Safety Officer Course at PGC 

for PGC Members Only

Develops NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. 

This course is a full day in length and is conducted in a PGC classroom at our shooting facility. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Sign ins begin at 7:30 am and need to be completed by the class start time 8:00 am.

Bring your own lunch. The meal break will not afford you enough time to travel away from the facility for dining.  

Loaded firearms are not permitted in the classroom, so please plan accordingly. This course is classroom only and involves no shooting.
